Default POST OFFICE CAN KISS MY A$$ (pics!)

Ok, enough is enough now. THe post office has offically pushed me over the edge. In the past they have lost several items, and broken a thing or two, but now its becoming ritualistic.

I wrap the ***** out of these engine plates before shipping. This particular one is rapped in paper, then in cardboard with grain up and then again with grain sideways. YOu can SMACK it on a god damned wall and it wont bend.

But the rejected members of the USPS have done it agian. This is the second returned engine plate that has been REALLY REALLY bent. Its flat as a pancake and can EASILY be placed under any box or on top of one. No, they had to put it BETWEEN to boxes then have a 500lb man sit on it for 12hrs. (so it seems). Ahhhh.

Ive used Fed-ex and they are a rip off and no one will pay it. Plus, they loose JUST about everything i send. UPS sucks equally and does the same.

What in JESUS wholy name do I have to do to get the product from POINT a) to b) in tact?

Im considering packaging NOTHING and shipping it to MYSELF and insuring it for the max amount JUST so I can make money of these shmucks. I know it would work.

All the "DO NOT BEND" warnings mean nothing. 4bux profit per plate isnt worth this aggrivation haha.

Damn! That's some nasty bends! Hope you can find a better way. Luckily, when I got mine delivered from you, it was in good shape!

That sucks.
I've actually found FedEx the cheapest and quickest in my business. I send fragile plaster molds constantly, and I haven't had any problems, so far.
Perhaps a length 2x2 packed in would give it more strength, and if they heard wood cracking maybe they'd treat it better. But probably not!

when I ship .032" Aluminum parts I make I usually sandwich them between two pieces of 1/8" mahogany or birch ply. It's pretty cheap to get a 4x8 sheet from home depot. Just cut the ply to the shape of the part and tape it up followed by a sturdy cardboard packaging.

May have to raise the cost a buck or so....

Haven't yet had any troubles that way.
