Default Climate control????

Has anyone had a problem with the heat in their Z. Mine seems to take awhile to heat up inside. I have the ***** all set to auto and the temp to like 75 or so it just takes awhile like 15 to 20 minutes and then I think I am thanksgiving turkey it get so nice and toasty. It is weird because it will blow cold air at the higher temp until it warms up. The cold air works great A/C wise in the summer but it is just the heat in the winter that kinda bugs me. I live in a small town relatively and it only takes me like 10 minutes to get where ever I wanna go and the damn thing isnt even warmed up yet...

Just posting this because my girl friend and I frooze are butts off on the way home last night from dinner..

THANX guys

It kicks in after the car gets up to driving temperature. It doesnt get warm right after start up if the car hasnt been driven for a few hours.

A guy from Las Vegas and Los Angeles telling a guy in Canada how good the heater is.

Once the water temp rises about a quarter inch off the stop it should be warm enough. I've got the heated seats which take the bite out of the cold leather on a frosty 55 degree morning. It's going to hit 88 degrees here tomorrow.

The auto setting will sometimes run the heat and air conditioning at the same time. Turn it OFF.

Yeah the car does get up to operating temperature nicely it is the heat just doesnt turn on for awhile after that. But I didnt know that the darn thing runs both the A/C and the heat when it is on AUTO. That is why sometimes it is hot air and others it was cold I guess. Well I understand this thing alittle better now so I will try to leave it off AUTO on that damn dial. Hopefully my ride wont be so damn cold on monday. I mean guys I am wearing gloves and a wool hat in the car sometimes...

Yes, it is true, genuie climate control, not strictly HOT/COLD. If you have it set at 75 and its gets to be 76, the A/C will come on. Thats annoying with the compressor going using gas when you don't need it. I leave it on Auto, but I turn of the A/C -- that way it will run Auto "Heat" at whatever temperature I selected, if you will. If I have it set at 75 and its gets to 76, the heat will just shut off and come back on when it falls back below.

You should have spent more $ and bought the 350Z with the heated seats.

I always have my air con on manual settings, irrespective of season. But in Winter put it on pretty warm to start and turn it down a few mins later, seems to work okay in my zed, but it never gets below zero degrees in my city even in the middle of winter first thing in the morning. 15-20 does seems like fairly slow.

Heated seats absolutely rock in winter, the heat comes on so quickly and then you don't worry about the air con so much.
