Default opinions on possible trade in

alright, I know i am asking this on a 350z forum but...

i am considering trading in the 03ppw for an 06 tundra access cab 4x4. they are giving me what i want fo rmy 350z (22k) and there are a ****TON of rebates on the tundra right now with the new body style coming out. I have always liked the tundras but always opted for a larger engine/domestic trucks even though i know the toyota is plenty of truck for me and everyone i know who has had one has taken it into the 200k and beyond range without any major troubles.i am a crew chief in the marines and having to carry my flight gear pretty much maxes out the z. I have always been a truck guy being from alaska and i definately miss the height/ride of a truck...

on the other hand....

the 350z is an amazing car (even tho mine is an auto...wife can't drive stick) and i will really miss it but the lack of space sometime makes it an inconvenience, especially since it is my only car. Even going grocery shopping can be a pain!! i am just so torn on what to do. iknow all you guys are probably against it but i am really torn.... opinions would be appreciated!!

Why not have the best of both worlds? Have you thought about getting a used pickup & still keep the Z? You can buy a good used pickup (or even an SUV) for a good price if you just look around. I have a '96 GMC extended cab pickup as a daily driver which I bought brand new. On weekends, I use it to go camping with the family and/or tow the jet skis. It now has almost 200K miles & still running strong. I just recently bought an '06 Z as a weekend fun car. BTW, I'm in the military also so I know what you mean about carrying extra cargo -- you can just throw your duffel bags, TA50, boots, etc. in the bed of the pickup and not have to worry about running out of room or scratching anything.

^Agree, I have a 91 turbo mr2 as daily driver and also the Z for weekend/nights. But trucks are definitely more useful if you need to carry extra cargo often.

I wouldn't drive a Tundra if you gave me one. Why? No 4x4 stick shift. They're slushbox only. If you gave me one, I'd trade it for a Dodge Cummins with a stick.

Before you buy a Tundra - Drive a Titan LE Crew Cab
I absolutely love mine - by far the best truck I have ever owned! Plus it drives like a Nissan

If you need a truck then buy a truck. You are a grownup. Make a decision.

Yeah that is a pretty good number! take it while you can!

But a nissan Titan would be a sick choice for a truck!
