I carpool with a guy a work and last night when I dropped him off he went to get is stuff out of the trunk and before I could remember to say something I hear this thud. My hatch attacked him too. I couldn't stop laughing. I need to train my hatch a to be nicer to people. It attacked my wife a few weeks a go but that's probably because she won't let me get my wheels. Good Z!

 

Do you have an aftermarket wing? Maybe the car is pissed that you put one on it.

I've been hit by another hatch before and bit my tongue. That's the worst. I thought it was something that happened with age, but my Z does this too. I haven't had it shut on me but I can hear the shocks leaking down when it's cold out.

my old integra used to do that too...used to carry a small pair of vise grips in the back to clamp it open...luckily i havent had this problem with the Z...yet

There's a TSB for that...Called the "Hatch bashing head TSB" I took my Z to the dealer for it an they "could not duplicate", so I asked the service tech to stick his head in and I duplicated it on his skull. I now have the parts on order.

i hav the stock spoiler on it.. its funny when i go to concerts or hang out at parties i can pop my hatch AND SIT IN THE HATCH LIKE A LAWN CHAIR!!! im that small! it freaked me out when it hit me cause i was totally not paying any attention and thought for a split second i was being jumped! im nice to my Z i dunno why she would act this way......... wait! i know why! she picked up an attitude from my ex.....
