According to the book ["How To Pump Gas 101"], most pump nozzles have an auto shut off feature...

Just maybe [I'm going way out on a limb here], that nozzle was not working properly????

ok at the end of the nozzle that goes into the car there s a little whole close to the end. that little whole is what senses the fuel/vapor going back into the nozzle. so if were you just go to a different gas dispenser. its is that many gas stations do not do daily maintance. I know in californa we are a little bit more strict on fixing the kind of problems that Spoled Z has experienced.

Probably. This happens to me once in a while at a BP I frequent where they don't maintain the station/pumps very well.
I tell the attendant about it and he tags the pump.
According to the attendants, the fuel nozzle from the pump goes bad when people top off their tanks over the limit?

Posted the thread on this last year, but as stated above, the Nissan Dealer can help you, and yes it was covered under warranty. Had mine done last year.
