how can you tell if its an 04.5?

 

My Touring came with everything (except nav). Bose, leather, heated seats, aero package. Aero package isn't standard though. As far as I know Enthusiasts have cloth seats and no Bose system.

 

They say the way to tell an 04.5 is by the knee pads, what do they mean by knee pads and where are they?

 

This is part of the vin on one of the cars D84M103, is this a 04 or 04.5 because the vin test is for ones with a T after the 4..

 

The knee pads are located inside the cockpit one on the left side & the other next to the console. Exactly where your knee's are placed.
Do a search on the difference between the '04 & '04.5 or PM the mod here who has posted several times the vin#'s. These vin#'s were just posted recently...maybe just go back a few pages here.

 

What exactly is the difference between an '04 and '04.5? I just started using this forum and keep seeing people say '04.5, but I can't search for it because its too short of a word.

I have the knee pads so I'm curious.

 

Yeah i see both of the cars im looking at that are 2004 have what looks like little pads on either side of the radio so i assume that they are 2004.5? What makes the 2004.5 better than a regular 2004?

 

My '04.5 vin# is not on the recall fuel hose list. Are you aware of the fuel hose recall??
My visor's are slightly bigger than the '04.
Some of the '04.5 Bridgestone tire tread design was changed.

The earlier '04's had problems with the TPMS warning light flashes or stays on.
