Hey everyone,

I just got my Z back from the shop after 4 months! While they were repairing the car, they took the battery out, and now the radio has been locked. The shop is closed today, so does anyone know if the unlock code is a generic number? and if it is, what it is?

Or is it included in the manual anywhere?

I dont think the bose has a lock code....

I have disconnected my radio several times during my custom dvd/screen install and it never came up with a lock code.

My manual also doesnt say anything about a lock on teh radio, nor did the dealer explain anything about a stereo lock-out.

look in the little book they should have given you, the manual is in there, probably with warrenty info, coupons, business card, and there should be a card with your radio code. they are different for everycar, it ensures that no one would want to steal your radio.

if for some reason your dealer didnt give you that card... your gonna have to just wait I guess, and hope the dealer knows it.

just thought about it, and while mine almost 99% positive has a lock code, Ive had my unit disconnected for the past few days, and it didnt ask for a lock code when I plugged it back in...

The Z Bose does not have a lock code. Something else must be wrong.

If there was a generic unlock code the lock code wouldn't make any sense at all.
