Default A pair of BIG guns

Entrance to Yuma proving grounds today and couldn't resist the contrast.
Drove over to Palm Springs (from Phoenix) yesterday for the Ron Lee Memorial barbecue and grabbed a few shots.Probably 100 in attendance.
A friend owns this 61' Vette AND a DeLorean w/32,000 miles! I shot his 2 cars for a calendar for his son who is flying in Iraq right now.
Regards, Jim

Definitely high quality pics! Now, if you could have just gotten those two geezers out of the way, we could have seen the cars! (Just kidding - thanks a lot for posting these).

Uh... AWESOME pictures - very high quality.

Not really feeling the rims and the exhaust... they kinda clash with those beautiful door handles (brushed aluminum).

Default Ride

Bummer! I had time on my hands too. We could have hooked up somewhere. Finally, because I was a bit bored, I decided to go to Yuma Saturday afternoon and crash over there for my Sunday shoot. I could have stayed in Palm Springs overnight just as well. Maybe next time! Regards, Jim

Default Rims/exhaust tips

Thanks for the kind words on the quality of the pix. It is always tough for me to post pix because you have to reduce the rez and some of the quality goes out the window when that happens.
The exhaust tips are a favorite of mine because I wanted to personalize the car a bit more. They are stainless steel rolled tips and they have taken on a very slight patina of gold/copper that, in person, nicely mates with the finish of the Le Mans Sunset.
I particularly like the rims going with the handles (tho that wasn't a prime requirement) because I specified no chrome on the rims and went for the silver and I like the rectangular spoke dimensions matching with the rectangular door handles as in my sig pic and this one showing the spokes matching the door handle dimension/shape almost spot on. Not sure what you feel is clashing w/door handles, but that is why we post, to get others viewpoints and I appreciate yours. Thanks, regards, Jim

Default Two "geezers"

Yup, you're right on the two "geezers". The cars look so great and I have to mess em' up with extra "actors!" I'll try to keep them out of further pix! Regards, Jim

Default Exhaust

LowbeeZ, When I got the tips, I also replaced the stock muffler w/Flowmaster and yes, it is louder then the stock setup. Quite nice actually! Regards, Jim

Default Rim & color combo

Dolfan 13, Thx for the kind words! The rims will be available in the USA within the next 45 days or so. I have them now because they were used on my car for a magazine cover and I liked them so much that I kept them for myself. I agree, (I'm biased!), they do look good on this car. Thx again. Regards, Jim

Default Rims

Ocsar, They are made by Privat and these are the Fahren model in Opal. They are a super silver with 2" front lip and 3" lip on the rears. The wheels are 18" and 8"wide in front and 9" wide in back. I have 235/40 front tires and 275/40 rears. The wheels are very nicely priced around $300 each. I am very pleased with them. Regards, Jim
