So my girl wants to either get my windows tinted or buy me a tattoo as part of my christmas present. I personally prefer a tattoo as cops here pull you over for absolutely no reason. I live in Oceanside, Ca...........yes, camp pendleton town..........marine town, whatever. My girl just got pulled over for her tints, I got pulled over for my tints on my last car.............honestly, black with with black tints just doesn't seem like a good idea with so many cops around. Which I don't understand why there is so many cops...........crime rate is pretty low. But then again the racers around here are crazy..........even people in trucks wanna race you nowadays.

 

Get the "TINTS"

 

If you want to tint you car then do it, you don't have to get like 5%, but it would look nice to darken a little. The tattoo idea is awesome but I would only do it if you already had something in mind, not just like shes paying for you to go get something. But she probably already knows you want something right? If there's a tattoo you've been wanting then I would say go for it!

 

Get like a naked picture of Brady Quinn tattoed on your back. Or something like that, I just don't know anymore.

I've got 35% all around on my SB and cops don't seem to care at all.

 

Yeah, I was supposed to get a phoenix tattoo but real state taxes got in the way this year. I can't really afford to spoil myself so much anymore. But she was nice enough to want to do something...........and she did try to convince to get a low tint...........something that wouldn't be too flashy. I've only gotten pulled over 2 in 4 years but one of the was wreckless driving going 105 on the freeway at 3 in the morning...........no cars around no nothing.........it just me joyriding. This was almost 2 1/2 years ago with a different car. I've learned to appreciate this car and what it can do.

My opinion would normally be tint, but since you are in an area of tint crazy cops, you might just want to get a big a$$ tattoo or a 350Z on your back.

 

Maybe the cops there got nothing to do so they just pull over people for no reason..

 

It might also depend on the girl. If things don't work out with her, the tint can be removed and she can be forgotten. Even if the tat has nothing to do with her, she'll still be under your skin forever.

 

Cop really do have nothing else to do. I've seen them at starbucks or just parked around places chatting to each other drinking coffee. I mean, they do just pull people over for going 5 over the speed limit. Again, the whole fast and the furious bug did hit this town really hard. And it doesn't help either that half of the marines here own bikes.

I mean, I like tattoos, not on my face, but I like them. But maybe I'll go for the tint..........I'll just get the 35% one.

 

i say get a tattoo of your car with tints on your arm. that way youll have both.

 

If you live in a place that is tight about tint don't do it. It's not worth the worry IMO. Around here there pretty tight ( a friend of mine got a ticket for 50% (or som oddly low amount) and people regularly get tickets for 35%. I had 35 in front and 20 in back on my last car and it was such a pain. I constantly was worrying about rolling my windows down to avoid cops etc. Theres enough things to get tickets as it is.

 

Just get the legal tint for your area. If they stop you show em the receipt that annotates whatever % the legal limit is. I am glad cops aren't that bad here. We have some *******s but sounds like they arer worse their?

 

Maybe it's the other way around? It's because there are so many cops, so the crime rate is low? Anyway... is it a tattoo that you want or a tattoo that your girl wants? My gf keeps on asking me to put a tattoo of her name on me. HELL NO! That's like tagging a graffitti on my butt.

Hmm. I don't think you'd get much of a tattoo for the same price as some tint.

 

Well, it's nothing that she picked out. I had it designed and picked out a long time ago before I met her...........actually, she's really not into ink. But the house and all my other expenses kept me from getting it.............I mean, it's about $200 and she's willing to pay for it. She likes my car and she's asked me repeatedly to teach her how to drive but I refuse to let a girl who drives a focus touch my car..........it's just not going to happen.

As far as the tint goes..............everyone here says that tinting is illegal period. And cops around here really are a bunch of *******s...............sadly, I tried to get into the academy but I was turned down because of the wreckless driving. But anyways, she's just trying to be nice to me...........it's hard to find girls that are willing to pay for things that you really want. I think for the ink though......

 

in CA 70% is leagl on the front 2 windows (so basically not tint)
you can have a band on the top of the windshield (don't remeber how dark looks stupid IMO anyway). You can tint the back windows as dark as you want, but even having as light 35% in back and 70% up front would look odd.
