So do you regret hitting the throttle on slick roads yet. I take it easy in my car, and I dont even have F/I! Glad to hear that you are ok and all, but perhaps better judgement before hands shouldve been considered.
Im sure were going to see alot more threads like this before winter is over I my self just slid into a curb due to the weather/traction issue with these cars
Holy ****. I live in oregon and day before yesterday, i crashed my Z. I did almost the exact same thing, hit the median in the middle of the highway at about 65-70, knocked over 3 tree's, 1 street sign, and than hit the concrete barrier half on half off and it flipped me over and than back up. I freaked out and crawled out the driver side window that shattered.
I'm trying to give people a friendly warning from my own unfortunate experience. I lived to tell the tale and if my advice saves someone or a Z then I'll be thankful. I was being stupid and careless. I think we have that covered quite well.
Oh, I'm sure a few more people will be glad to point this out too.
"Everyone be careful! If you have a modded Z and the roads are icy, do not try to start pushing your Z at 70 or so." Common sense 101 has now been covered.
Seriously tho man, sorry to hear about your car. Good luck with the insurance, repairs, etc.
Glad to hear you are ok as well.
I think that the big fat tires had more to do with the wreck than the TT
Pushing the Z on icy roads played the biggest role IMO. Turbo or N/A, skinny or fat tires, ice is ice and ice is slippery dammit, especially in a RWD car.
