Im getting my nismo wing installed in a few hours..how do I make sure they dont go joy riding in it? there cant be a need to test drive it..should i just take a picture of the odometer? if they do take it out for a spin what can I do?

 

It's your car, not your girlfriend.

most joyriding mechanics just got their job. If you get an experience mechanic, chances are they've worked on faster cars than yours and wouldn't be excited about it.

 

Its standard procedure to take to car to 140 MPH to make sure the wing is working properly.

 

Just make sure you do a walk around before and after the install and make notes of any scratches or nicks on the car. Also record the odometer

O and make sure you do the walk around with a person from the service department and make sure they write things down and give you a copy before you let them take your car.

Its not like you have a turbo. Its pretty much stock, im pretty sure they have driven something just as fast. aka a stock Z. lol

Ok, if the installer has done this before, then he can do it quickly within an hour. I think you can stand there for an hour and watch. And youll learn something from it. When i got my springs and header installed on my celica, i stood and watched. now i know how to do it all.

they have the wing still, i told them i wanted a pretty murano to drive back as a loaner and they said all they can give me is a ****ty white van

 

Tell them **** MOTHER ****ERS to give you what you deserve or you will **** a chicken!! Tell them your about to beat them like a spider monkey!!

IF you don't trust your mechanic then thers no point in taking your car there. Also, taking a picture of your odometer wouldn't really matter since they can just rollback the odo after they do a drive around....

 

how do you do that?
