question about oil change?

Default question about oil change?

Is it nesscessary to do the oil change back to dealer? if i wanna change it to auto shop, which oil brand should i buy and 5w-30 or 10W-30?

full synthetic valvoline 10w-30 $5.99 per qt. use 5w-30 in cold area

Just a word of advice...

If your car is under warranty, keep the receipts showing that you bought oil and filters. A manufacturer cannot void your warranty for doing your own maintainence. However, they can void your warranty if they believe you're not doing any maintainence.

I assume that you are referring to regular maintenance to keep the warranty valid? Check your warranty.

Proper weight oil? Its specified in your owners manual.
