^^^hahaha. I did that for the past two weekends, people saw me twice, but I didn't care. What can I say, I love driving the Z. More than any Honda I owned before, and plus I have twice the HP/Tq.
I just resetted the MPG gauge, and I notice a big improvement. It was reading like 14.2 and as soon I resetted, a few moments later, I got 16.5, and it kept changing throughout my entire drive home from work.

I deliver in my car and I get around 18mpg or so with an average of only about 15mph. You guys must get on your cars a lot.
On the highway, Ive averaged as much as 28mpg in a 120mile trip. I have no complaints at all with fuel economy in the Z. Try driving a modded EVO around town and get good gas mileage though, and thats another story.

Furthermore, when you look at the POWER needed to overcome aerodynamic drag, velocity is cubed. Meaning that twice the speed requires 8 times the power.

Also, in the 70's when we had the previous "HOLY SHIZNIT! GAS IS EXPENSIVE AND RUNNING OUT!" crisis, there where alot of companies that did research on how to get better mpg. One of the large consensies on how to do it in a normal car was to skip gears. For example, starting out in 1st gear, not flooring it, but not going too light on the gas, then shifting to 3rd before reaching a high rpm (I usually do it around 3000 rpm in the Z) and then doing the same in 3rd (I usually shift out of third at 2500 rpm in the Z) then shifting to 5th, and in our car, then to 6th (which I do around 2200 rpm in the Z... of course this is when I'm not flooring it to put a smile on my face). In city doing this I've notice I can easily keep it above 22 mpg, I even got it above 25 mpg once when I did that for a whole tank of gas..... . but man is that boring! I'll just spend the money on gas to have the fun...
