My main argument is that a 100% stock Z33 will not come close to 170MPH, that was said previously, even when the limiter is removed. Closer to 160 tops, IMO. Now this is actual GPS speed, not speedo speed. A C5 Vette, for example, barely does over 170 (~172-173 top speed). My stage III Z32TT at 15PSI will have trouble doing a true 170MPH.

Well in that case you are right... a non-revup Z will not touch 170 actual speed. What is showed on the digi is another story though. I bet it would be close.

Don't make me get my ECU flashed just to find out...

Please do.

I would guess you have some mods though too, correct? Not that NA mods help out tremendously on a Z33 though.

No mods. Just a K&N drop-in filter. I also have some weight removal but that wouldnt affect anything... just how long it would take to get there.

I wasnt calling you a liar or implying I didnt believe you, I just havent heard of that HKS unit used in the past few years. And unless HKS specifically makes an application for our cars, only 2 companies have the software to reflash/remove the limiter, Technosquare and AAM.

edit-wow a lot of these threads lately, I noticed in another one you posted a link to this unit for the Z. Good to know as I had no idea. AFAIK nobody has tried it yet...

its cool, i was just posting the link for everyones general info. maybe an alternative to the $595 for a reflash since going over 159 has become such a popular topic in the last week or so... I had ordered one but cancelled when i hydrolocked my engine the next day. I dont think you will catch me at those speeds anyway, at least until the damn thing runs again!
