Default '05 touring wheel recall?

Got a message from my dealer yesterday about a potential problem with my touring wheels ('05) dealing with possible structural problems of the wheels. Before I call I wanted to see if anyone else received such notice about these wheels. If so, I wonder what they replace them with. The new '06 wheels? Would there be a tire size problem with the new wheels? MAybe I can con them into a set of Nismos!!

I received a phone call...When I go there, I'll ask if there's anything in writing that I can scan and post.

I haven't received anything... should I contact them? I would LOVE the 06 Wheels! I went to Nissan's site and they said there is no recall for the Z.

No recall number? Its just service marketing. And very poor marketing at that.

Am I correct in assuming the 2006 18/8" front and 18/8.5" rear wheels look like the AE wheels with indented squares down each spoke? If so, I really like the smooth look of the AE wheels much better. I haven't been contacted yet, but next time I am near the stealership I will check in with the service manager there (one of the better ones I have known) to see if he knows anything further regarding the problems...

Just like the flyer I got once saying my Z is in short supply and they would like to buy it back! BS!

Just got back from the dealer - no cracks, no BS sales attempt either. Got a free oil change for my efforts. The service manager did crawl around the thing looking for any work that the body/paint guys could do while it was there ... nothing. I didn't even let them wash the thing. I'm still thinking its some sort of scam but the service manager balked when I asked him if it was ... not a formal recall though. Odd. Very odd.
