so someone stole...
my headunit.. DVD player screen everything, i had a 6.5 2din, i locked my Z from the inside instead of with my remote so some ******* jimmied my lock and broke into my car and stole the whole headunit within 30 MINUTES! i was at my friends house in his DRIVEWAY in orlando, FL making my way back up to atlanta.. i stopped for a short time to say whats up.. so needless to say i had another 6 hours to drive to Atlanta with NO MUSIC or TV :|
So the trim piece is still in place ... that's really weird. My head end is screwed into the trim piece and that is then screwed into the dash board's metal. A second trim piece with the AC controls then snaps in over the first. I looks like you deck was just slide into a hole rather than screwed in place. That's why they got it so fast.

in dash tv = waste of money unless you have a garage and the car isnt a daily driver. but then again that would make it even more of a waste of money because you would never really use it... that really sucks though, thats alot of money gone in a short period of time. will your insurance cover the damage and missing tv?
possibly.. still have to get a police report.. and oddly enough since the wire for the stock headunit is still in place there was no damage, whoever did it ripped out the wires that connected everything, the stock headunit peice is fine.. but im going to try to get the monitor replaced.. it wasnt cheap ;[

That sucks...sorry bro. You might consider installing a head unit and screen that is a little more incognito. I have a single din head unit that plays DVDs and a farenheit screen the nav cubby. I take off my face and close the cubby door....doesn't look like I have much. Just FYI.
