Woohoo, I'm with you on this one Jenn!!! Definitely more dependent on if your an enthusiast or not, not which gender. Guys in our club come to me for advice on how to groom their Z's, it's always the shiniest, unless it's just been through roadworks then it gets a big clean. Used to comp groom too. I will hunt to find the perfect carpark wide enough for the phat Z, if possible always by an traffic island so people can't hit my doors.

I have certainly become neurotic about parking spaces. I always find an end spot and get as much space as possible. So far, so good.

my Z always get a buffer zone on each side of the car wherever I park, or if I must, then by a more expensive car like a porsche or something.

and I try to wash my car at least every other week. A $30k car deserves at least a little special treatment a few times a month.

Women take care of their bodies, their health, their children, etc.

Men take care of whatever is nearby that they can see and touch (a car, a nice shotgun, a women, etc.).

Hello... ever hear about primordial instincts and the guiding principles?

Hmm, must have missed the "generally" part of my original post, I should have capitalized it.

Oh, and if the above is true, you're the exception, not the rule. I don't care what anyone says, women, even the ones who drive nice cars, GENERALLY don't take as good care of them as us guys.

i think that most women dont keep their cars clean because they just dont want to wash it themselves or dont have the "time" to run it throught a car wash(even thought id NEVER run my car through a carwash unless it was a touch free one)....or they just dont care

i think the part that everyone is missing is womens lack of connection to the real world. i mean i know ill get flamed by every woman out there, and dont get me wrong, i love women to death, but sometimes they lack the connection to the physical world that men have.

its a fundamental difference between men and women. men are all about the physical things, more power, faster cars, cleaner cars and stuff like that.

women are about cuter purses, more expensive jeans, more expensive shoes.

now i am not trying to stereotype all women, i know a few women that take care of there cars well, but even those women do not have the connection to there Z like us men.

as for valet... hell will freeze over before i EVER let some valet drive my car.

i didnt pay 24,000 + mods to have my car rammed into as tight of a space as possible by some hispanic (no offense but they are all hispanic around here) teenager. Thanks very much i'll walk the extra distance.

i never understand why people buy cars for themselves and then let other people drive them. its your car, you park it. that way you are the only one responsible if something happens to ur car, i.e. you parked to close or backed into someone.

Nobody can handle that Tilton. You could valet and get some laughs in As for the women and cars, well most of them care more about other stuffs. How many LV, Prada, Gucci..etc purses and shoes do you guys see a woman allowing to get dirty? There are only a few women out there who babies their cars like men and generally they've had male influence in their lives (BFs, Fathers, Brothers, etc)

+1 Jenn (Hate that BS as well)

And also comes too. Who's not lazy and cares for what they spent their hard earned money on. I wash/wax and detail the Z, hubby sometimes dries it.

Tho too busy at the moment to make most meets, also in a local Z club and I too park way out in space to avoid the car dingers.

I agree with you ladies that it comes down to whether one is an enthusiast or not. But here's the rub: How many female car enthusiasts have you met? I can honestly put less than 5% of women I have ever met in that category and probably 30-40% of the men.

So although it is absolutely true that women's lack of care towards their cars is a negative stereotype, it exists because statistically, a woman is far less likely to care for, or know much about, her car than a man. That's all there is to it. Exceptions are always to be found to every stereotype, but such is life.

Most women have a clean car, if they their husband or boyfriend cleans it for them. Like most things in life, a women usually obtains by way of a man.

Never forget the saying "Pu$$y is undefeated!"

I think GENERALLY you're still wrong. I've been in some guys cars that were pretty disgusting. I'm talking gym clothes, month old McDonalds leftovers, old school papers, etc...

I could also say the same thing you're trying to prove about guys houses/apartments. GENERALLY girls live in and/or keep a cleaner/tidier/better smelling place of living than guys do.
