Default Not even the ladies who own Zs take care of them....

Has anyone else besides me noticed that ladies generally don't take care of their cars? Not even the ones who own Zs?

I ask because just last weekend, I saw at least two Zs parked very close to the front of a parking lot in spaces so tiny that only an anorexic could get in and out of the car. "Must be owned by women," I thought and sure enough, one of them was driven away by a woman.

Hey, I don't own their cars and it's really their choice but I would not even dream of parking in spaces where there is even a remote chance of the car next to me clipping my Z. And for what, just so my lazy butt doesn't have to walk ten extra steps?

I can't be the only one who has noticed that ladies, even the ones who drive nice cars (yes, including the Z owners) have the same regard for their cars as they do for their refrigerators and probably put a higher value on their shoe collection than that four wheeled appliance which enables them to get around everywhere in their lives.

Whats new...i wouldn't narrow it down to ladies though...generally everyone who isn't an enthusiast will not care a great deal about their car...i see it all the time.

edit...I had a 93 Civic that i hated to death, but i kept that car as clean as surgical equipment...i just like my cars to be clean and look nice. I might post up a pic later. It was red, which i hate the most out of all colors. (I won't lie and say that some red cars look good, i just don't want to own one.)

Anywho, lots of people just see their cars as a means of transportation and not a hobby or an investment.

It's probably true a lot of the times. I see a girl who drives a white Z on campus always park in between other cars with very little space in between. Also, the car is always dirty...I doubt she's washed it or got someone to wash it for her in a long, long time. It just looks gross especially on white.

I guess I could never figure out why anyone would even care how someone else takes care of their car, Z or not. And kwiker has it correct - to many people a car is a car; thats why when you give some people a Z wave or headlight flash, they just blow you off. The ladies I know with Z's take impeccable care, same as the guys I know with Z's. Thats because I see them in my club or at Z events. Enthusiasts, obviously. Damn, its been raining here and my car is filthy - sure hope Galvatron doesn't spot it!

hahah this thread is great!! I saw a girl with a CS z, and she parked and hit the front on the curb, leaving a huge crack in the paint and front chin, got out of her car, and put her purse, cell phone and coffe cup on the roof while she fiddled around then slid them off and went on her way. I was dumbfounded and actually offended that drivers like that own cars that we all obsess over like maniacs

What i would like to know is how many people on here let valet park their cars. Every once in a while i will throw them some money to get there but i have to park it myself.

I refuse to let them drive...not only because i don't trust them but i just don't think they would be able to drive the car with the tilton...it still gets me every once in a while.

ya, I would NEVER let valet park or drive my car. Even when I go get work done at the nissan dealer, or anywhere, I have to leave notes all over the steering wheel saying "Please back the car in to any parking stall, the front end is too low, and will hit parking blocks" and I still freak out!!!

I had two shops destroy TWO different front ends on my 90" 300zx while parking it, so Im scared for life now

Yeah 90% of people just think a car's a car. I work at a dealer and 90% of the trade in's we get have to have $100 in touchup work done to them cause of the condition. Granted there are a few 04 Saab and an 04 M3 that were in damn good condition, but most 04's we get are far from good condition.

Personally I treat every car I have good, granted the Z get's special attention compaired to my 02 Cavalier dalily driver, but the Cavy's still in damn good condition.

Man there are two girls in my apartment complex with Z's and the cars are always ALWAYS dirty. I'd say in the last month they might have visited the gas station car wash once.

I think one of them is fairly attractive too so I stuck a note on her window saying nice car.....(I parked next her that night).....and never got one in return

EDIT: Both Z's are either 05-06, one a vert one a coupe

stuck up beeeotch

Don't freaking stereotype here! It comes down to who's an enthusiast and who isn't. Not female vs male.

I'll bet you my '03 is 10X cleaner than yours.

That's just one of those universal laws. But my wife has made a complete turnaround since she met me. So there is hope, people!

Your "what" is cleaner?

Is it tighter, as well?

I valet all the time when I go club hoppin' downtown. If you tip the valets enough, they will leave your car parked right in front and keep an eye on it. Plus, It's a lot safer in their hands than some unattended parking lot.

Every dirty z i see around here is owned by a woman. All the z's i see around here that men drive are spotless. I think its just because women dont look at cars like men do, and like someone else said, they dont take care of them, just for that reason. Its funny though cause girls always want "hott" cars but they never wash them.

Ever since i got my car i have developed an OCD about keeping it spotless. One time i pulled into a restaurant and saw a DB ZR that was covered in so much filth it had to be 5 shades darker! I wanted to whip out a terry cloth and clean it up so badly . Wouldnt you know, hanging on the rear view mirror are those bright pink flower thingys and a pink cellphone in the car.

I bet women take better care of their shoes than you or I do though.

You have to put things into perspective or something like that.

We love cars. To them it gets them from point A to B.

please..stop with the stereotyping. at least put the word "some" or "most" in front of the word "woman"..........not all of us are like this!

my adidas may be scuffed but my wheels are shiny and clean!
