Default What is the '07 0-60/Quarter Mile time?

Please excuse me if I've overlooked the stats but seeing that some '07s have been spotted at some Z meets shouldn't we have some times for the new 07's? I haven't seen anything posted yet but if I've missed something obvious please link me! Thanks guys. Just very curious what the new setup is really worth!!

My prediction: 4.8 seconds 0-60, 13.5 quarter mile (street tires) at 107.

I think a bit slower.

0-60 in 5.1 seconds, and 1/4 mile = 13.7 @105-6 mph.

we didn't see that drastic change when the rev-ups came out compared to the 287.

but there wasn't a drastic difference. The new engine has a 7500 rpm redline, puts out effectively 20ish more hp (before sae ratings) and has much better top end.

I don't know, but if those numbers are true, then us pre-2007 owners are really getting screwed. Our cars are slow already compared to the new ones

trap 107.. a bit too high for a Z, maybe it's possible with a extremely well driver. I don't see that much difference from pre-06 Z with 15 hps difference. I predicted it will be 103-105 in average.

but then again the 06's only went up 200rpms.. if you can tap the gears out an extra 700rpms.. i duuno about you people, but i was shifting maybe 100ft from the 1/4 mark... which really killed the times... so i think the extra rpm's will put our cars in the 13.5 range maybe even faster and if they lighten up the car a bit.. maybe more

but heres what we do know..

1) Now the engine is going to be pushing 306hp @ 6800 RPM & 268 ft.lbs of torque @4800 RPM.

so the higher redline does nothing in the way of pulling all the way till redline.. since its now.. 7500...

I would be surprised if the 0-60 times were better than 5.1 too. I would think they would be between 5.1 and 5.3. I would think 13.7 sounds about right in the quarter mile.

I am surprised that none of the car magazines have tested one yet.

They didn't have an '07. It was an '06.

And to only run a 14.2@99 is plain sorry.

What I'm hoping for out of the HR is a BEST time of ~13.4 and a BEST trap of 107. Average should be in the 13.7 range with 104 being the norm for trap speeds. These numbers might get me back behind the wheel of a Z.

I predict an average of 9.5@145... even faster on downhill tracks with negative DA.
