Default Im back beaaatches... with an 06!

look me up. lemoned my '03 about 3 years ago. saved every penny to buy it, and ended up with every problem in the book. Tire cupping/shredding tires, sh*tty ride, window grease, notchy trannies, leaky valve gasket, dash rattles, cd player failure and FOUR new transmissions. Broke my heart...

Since then I tried an 06 6spd accord that bored me to death.

Then I went 300zx tt. OMG what a FUN car. I love the twin turbo sooo much. Unfortunately, that thing needs $1000 repair jobs almost every 2-3 months. Its like car payments Finally the starter and one injector went out last week and $1200 dollars later my girlfriend pulled the plug on the 300zx.

Well, I have been salivating over the '06 for a year now. LOVE the upgrades, but feared the same doomsday scenario as before. My girlfriend talked me into it and...

tada:

(please tell me its gonna be alright )

CongratZ on the Z. So are you intending on modding this 350?

They can be a lot more than that, with carefully planned work. I've quite a few mates that have their race 300's detuned to 500rwk's or in US lots more than 600 whp. But then they're of an age now where they a constant job to keep running, well a fair number of them.

Congrats! FWIW - My 06 GT Z has been problem free since 4/27/06 thru 12256 hard driven miles. Knock on wood. I expect my Z to run similar to my daily 99 Accord EX-V6, currently at 157K+. The 06s seems to be holding up quite well. Your new baby should serve you well! ENJOY! ..... and let the mods begin!

Your Z pix: 5 minutes into a new home and already it's sniffing the other Z's a$$

Congrats on the new ride, looks awesome. I think you are one of the few cases where the girlfriend talks you into - and not out of - buying a Z.

Sorry to hear that, but with all due respect, some people just dont get along with certain cars.
My 03 has 56,000 and was Vortec'ed most of those miles. I had a little tire problem but a Pro took care of that ( I dont take a car to the dealer ) It rides rough , but its a Hi Perfomance car with a stiff suspension, The fact it handles great illiminates me givin a ****.
Iv always had some window grease on the Pass side but I dont lose sleep over it and someday I ( Not the dealer ) will fix it maybe, if I have a notion to.
Trans is notchy but a little Royal Purple took care of it enough so I feel better. CD players fail, its the nature of the beast. And at first I had the 6 to 5th grind, but I changed my shifting/clutching habits and it hasnt done it in 30,000 miles. I think Nissan was too lenient on replacing trannys, when in fact it was driver error/inexperience that was causing the prob in 85% of the cases.
My Pioneer Supreme doesnt eject sometimes but it does eventually.
I have squeeks *sigh* but Im not obsessed by them so I really dont hear them. I dont lose or burn a drop of oil, but if I was losing it, I would do what I had to do and move on.
Im in the Auto repair business and have seen all types of owners. A few are never happy and obsess to the point that I really believe they "will" things to fail. I tell them to hit the road, Its as though they want something to go wrong so they can vent their frustrations, Id hate to have to live with one of them.

Good luck on the 06 and I hope u 2 get along better than u did with ur 03.

I don't know what is worse. That Nissan builds "sh*tty" cars or that you actually plan on buying a third one knowing you feel that way.

BTW, my 2000 maxima with 245000 miles would like to have a word with you.

Also, I had an 85 300zxt with over 180k miles when some *** t-boned it and my brother's 82 280zx had over 280k miles when the odo stopped working for the last year he had it.

I put 15,500 mi. on my '06 in 6 months and all trouble free. Tires are wearing just fine, smooth transmission, no clutch problems. As for the dudes comment that Nissan makes s***ty cars.., he should ride in my Pathfinder with 317,000 miles I've put on it and it still has original clutch and 2nd set of brakes. It's trouble free performance has saved me $thousands over the years.
