Default Service Engine Soon Light

I've had the Service Engine Soon light on for a few days now, and recently figured out how to check the service code myself. Apparently, I have problem 442. On the generic codes page, this says "Evaporative Emission Control System Leak Detected (small leak)"

Can anyone who has the service manual verify that this is the correct problem for 442, and can someone who knows a lot about the mechanics of a car let me know what kind of problem this is exactly?

Thanks,
Tim

I have heard that someone else did have that.

I get the same light, mine says "O2 sensor", which is what the dealer said as well, getting fixed tomarrow

I'll bet you anything it's the gas cap. Remove your gas cap, with the car NOT running, put it back on, tighten so it clicks twice, and I bet within a day or two the light goes away. My gas cap was tight, but I did this as have 99% of the other people with this problem, and the light goes away after about 5-10 drives. The value has to keep averaging it's way back down to normal so it takes a while.

Either that, or the light just burns out.
