often under 2500, but if Im pushing it, who knows, Im ussually limited by the top speed Im willing to do in 2nd gear as opposed to redline.

seems like more and more often I go to 3500 in 1st, go to 2nd, floor it till 50-55 then clutch, shift through the gears without letting the clutch out, and go on in 5th or 6th.

I shift at much higher RPMs, 3500 to 4500 on average, now that I installed the Stillen exhaust. It sounds so good I can't keep my foot out of it.

geez, you guys gas mileage must suck! for normal driving i will shift at 2-2.5 (at most) i rarely take it up to 3k for regular granny driving. when i push it i will take it up pretty high and usually redline or be very close..

It doesnt feel right for me to short shift it THAT much...I usually shift around 4500 cause it just feels natural (makes sense since thats around the torque peak) Sometimes though around 3500 when cruising slower.

usually around 3k... maybe that's why I'm still getting 19.4 mpg...Can't seem to break the 20 mpg mark...
I guess I need to try 2k-2.5k.....

Usually 2300-2800 revs is more than adequate for driving around, which nets me 23.5MPG. I never like the 1-2 shift that low; it amazes me how much easier it is to shift at 6 grand than 2500.

I would be real hesitant at shifting below 2.5-3k especially in low gears. Lugging your engine at low RPMs isn't any better than revving it to high RPMs.

Shifting below 2.5 - 3k doesn't necessarily mean that they're lugging the engine. It depends on how hard they try to accelerate after they shift. If they're building up speed slowly, it would be perfectly OK.

OTOH, if you're revving it to high RPMs, it's at high RPMs.
