I've seen a lot of posts about modifications that people are doing, none of which I really understand and I wonder what's the attraction to doing this?

I thought at first that it was only the people using their Z for some sort of racing, but it seems others are doing it too. Should I be modifying? I have a 2006 Coupe with basic stuff on it.

Probably 90% of the people here modify or want to modify. Why else would you come to this site? The reason for modifications are to make the car go faster, be louder, and look nicer.

I don't want my car to look like anyone elses car, well except maybe Rickdogg, NitrouZ, Andy@Performance, Sharif@Forged, THE TECH, IP CHECK, DJ Smitty, USN HM 350Z, WENDYZ(Really like that car, and she is hawt, and works on her car which is even hotter.), Rick@Status...and some others.

But seriously, people see something they like and they put it on their car to make it different.

Approximately 90-percent of the 350Z on the road are stock. Keep in mind that there are about 120,000 350Zs on the road. Active forum members represent less than 1-percent of the total 350Z population. So when you read about performance mods and body kits and such, you are hearing for a tiny minority.

If the 350Z suits your needs as is then leave it alone. Its a beautiful car just the way that it rolled off the assembly line.

 

People have little pee pee syndrome... that's why they mod. I like the pee pee pump idea. I mean... it's not the motion that matters....it's the size. No replacement for displacement!

Don't waste time learning to drive. Just add more powah! It will make up for any lack of skill. If you must start modding... only do the powering adding mods that other people have done so you can be cool just like them. Don't mod your car for actual reasons that you see fit... just do it to be cool. You will fit right in.
