Can't catch me!
Okay so I was visiting Florida this past weekend, driving in a rental car from Orlando to Disney world. Speed limits 70 and im doing about 80-85. All of a sudden I see and Orange County cop car sitting in the median of the highway(it had just rained by the way). So I figure'd I'm screwed and look up in my rear view mirror preparing for the lights and siren to go off. What do I see? Not a cop car coming after me! Instead I see mounds and mounds of mud spinning up from his back wheels. Silly cop couldn't get out of the median! Never got me
Smooth!
I wish I had been lucky . . .oh wait I got someone else’s ticket I. I was not speeding. The more I think about it the more upset I get. My lawyer will have a good time with mine.
*Would not show readout.
* Could not tell me distance of the "laser shot" (over 1000 ft when detector went off)
*Did not run any info on me. (Quick ticket, 2 1/2 minutes)
*Tailed me long enough to see out of state.
* Was inside of car (I am sure) way after dusk! Laser my a$$!
I was either profiled or he got the wrong guy. Either way I got screwed.

According to Georgia law, state troopers are not required to show you the readout. Distance, Traffic, etc. are not factors in getting out of a ticket. It's the cop's (officer of the court) word against yours.
Your best bet is if he didn't follow the guidelines. And since it's laser, I don't even think they're required to do calibration checks.

i ran into this before in my type r..cop busted me going 15 over 45 on hwy 41....i went to court, told judge and prosecutor that i would like to see the calibration check on his radar..they must calibrate if (and if im correct) before working day and after working day......but then i plead w/ them and said that i have great standing w/ my insurance and that im willing to pay the amount of my ticket for the court....in return, drop my ticket so it wont appear on my insurance.....
it worked for me....TWICE..
they sure love $$$$$$$$$$$
