I owned an RSX-S w/ a greddy turbo, and I currently have a nissan 350Z
This is my opinion....
RSX I LOVED.. It is a great car. With n/a mods (CAI/exhaust/Hondata#4/hotwires/drag radials on stockies) I ran a 14.2 @ 98mph. In Sacramento that was a damn good time being that mid summer 100+ degrees 115+ at track level... Otehr RSX-S would run from low-mid 14s modded w/ n/a or 15s stock.
CLEARLY the RSX is not in the class of the Z. Stock Zs were running lower 14s at Sacramento. I was modded and had a hard time keeping up with a Z.
Than I got my turbo... almost was into the 12s (13.0xx) on drag radials....
*****RSX is more mod friendly than the Z N/A wise, and I think that is where they are trying to mess with us as Z owners. I ran my Z at the track when I first got it, and even though it was my first RWD car I was running as good as my RSX with N/A mods.... Actually went head to head with an RSX and killed it. He claims he launched ****ty, but he ran the same tiems all night.
Anyhow the moral to the story is mod for mod you will get more out of the RSX-S than the Z, but th Z is out of the factory about .9-1.2 seconds faster than the RSX. A modded Z with bolt ons was running low/mid 13s and the ONLY way a RSX can get tehre is eitehr spraying, or FI... END OF STORY.. (this is of course at my track. other tracks may vary in times) We are talking about a 15 second stock car against a 14 second stock car (at my track). The argument is just dumb
