Yup, I sure do have an Evo... an Evo that would sure as **** hand you your ***.
But apparently you know me well enough that you know I'm a previous 350Z owner and have been here before I bought the Z back in 2005.

dont care about an evo being able to "hand me my ***", straight line performance doesnt interest me much anymore
previous z owner...as in doesnt sound like you own anymore so you have as much reason to be here as i do

That's fine that you don't care about straight-line performance. I don't really care about that either. I'm actually more into auto-x and mountain racing, since that's all I have where I'm at. In other words, my Evo will hand you your ***, straight line or crooked.

Not to many high schoolers can buy Z's from what I can tell. So to me a Z is more for the older guys who want a nice car without all the rice. By the way I am only 28 and to me that is older. Sorry for all the honda BS on here but I needed to straighen that out.
Lets step back a minute bub. Your theory has alot of loopholes slick. You installing or is your shop? Buy a motor, build it, add a turbo, add a fuel system, add your management, add your tires, add your suspension, add gauges, add a whole bunch of sh*t. I'm sorry, but you can't run 10s without these things. Gotta know how much boost....can't run 10s on street tires....gotta tune the thing. If you have any sense, you'll tune it on a dyno. If its VTEC...all parts will cost more. I built an LS and a VTEC...VTEC was 30% more. Your turbo kit and engine build will run over $5Gs....what about everything else?
FMAX was not trash....just like any other kit on the market...you need to change a few things. My buddy built his 97 teg back in 97.....guess what....FMAX kit...car has 100k miles on it (70k on the build) and still runs smooth as silk. Puts down 400whp and he drives it everyday. He didn't spend no $5Gs either....double that and you have your motor and turbo kit. Don't want to even get into his PowerFC or fuel system. Why would I need to try new honda performance companies when I own a Nissan now. I'm not a teenager anymore clown. Besides...like I said...I went custom...everytime. I wanted the best and wouldn't settle for a kit. I will do the same for the Z. No fuel systems you can't or won't use....just the parts you need. I have never conformed to what others do....I make my own road homey.
No one said the K and B were the same but different years. I was referring to the honda scene. Same sh*t different year. I know the difference between the motors. Why don't you call my buddy Jason @ St00pidFast performance. Had a 10 second civic about 8-10 years ago. He has a shop now and works on all kinds of imports. He worked on all the older B, H, ZC, and D series motors and now works on the Ks....even swaps the Ks into older hondas. I'm sure he has plenty of fast shop cars now. Why don't you get a quote for a 10 second honda. lol. So yea, us old guys know all about the K series. You're not bringing anything new to the table.
I sold my last honda two weeks after F&F1 came out. I made out like a bandit...supply and demand. There aren't too many things you can tell me about Honda motors that I don't already know. I still love hondas, but I'd never build another street car...if I built another honda...it'd be strickly a drag car. Or I'd leave it stock and use it for my commute.

like i said earlier, im using this time to do 2 things
1 - annoy people here (obviously you filled this spot)
2 - inbetween mindless posts, looking to see if a local is on here to see if his car is stock or not (heard mixed things about it)
and i still dont care about some ****ing evo. i almost got one when they came out, but the dealer went out before i had the money so oh well. im on to bigger & better things now so
