Default Whats the point in getting a 350z???

I am looking into getting a "sports" car, but looking at the specs between the G35 4 DOOR and the 350z the specs and performance is the SAME! Only the G35 is more quiet and luxuries.

2007 G35

HP 306HP
Torque 268Lbs-ft
WEIGHT 3583lbs
Handling 87g
brakes 160ft
0-60mph 5.2
0-100mph 13.1
70mph 67db

2007 350z

HP 306HP
Torque 268Lbs-ft
WEIGHT 3405lbs
Handling 88g
brakes 160ft
0-60mph 5.8 for 2006
0-100mph 13.9 for 2006
70mph 72db

I like how the 350z looks, but after doing alot of research on the car it seems like instead of nissan taking off weight, they have been putting it on each year! making it slower and slower each year!!! I didnt find the accelration specs for the 2007 350z, but my guess it should be 5.1sec from 0 to 60mph????

2007 Z's have the Flux Capacitor. G35's gave up the Flux Capacitor for the extra seats. For me, the choice was a no-brainer. I like time-travel, so I got the Z. I try to go back to the 50's every Friday to rock the Z against those corvettes. What REALLY pisses me off is when the RSX drivers from 2010 try to race me. Retards.

Why dont you test drive both of them and then make your own mind up instead of magazine talking. No one I know buys a car simply based off a mag....

One less Z on the road is always a good thing, unless its from a wreck.

I guess you're right I don't like the depreciating rate of my 03.

Unfortunately, I don't think an RX8 owner has much room for criticism.

Why does everyone always only consider Horsepowers when discussing vehicle performance? I can probably get 300hps out of skateboard if I strap a rocket onto it. But would you like to drive that?

Oh wait, nm.. I thought for a second this thread was real.

I bet you got those numbers from the road and track test of the 10 best cars under 30,000. Why don't you get a minivan and call it a day.

The Rx8 is actually really slow... But we are talking about the G35 vs the 350z

One is a "sports" car and the other one is a "luxury sedan" the point is, why does the sports car perform as a luxury sedan. on paper that is, sure you will "feel" more in the 350z. but the performance is exactly the same. I love sport cars, but If I am going to lose all the comfort. I want something in return!
