If you want to get by cheap everything could be fixed. Bags would be the majority of the price.

Do you even have winter tires on those rims or just summer tires? If you have just summer sport tires.. you are pretty dumb.

I live in MN and have driven my Z in a few snow storms coz its my daily driver. Bottom line, slow down. I have snow tires and TCS but I dont act like its a gift from God and I wont ever spin out. If its snowing out, drop your speed by 5-10MPH accordingly.

Suprisingly, I think my 350Z handles BETTER in the snow than my Scion TC did.

Total $4300

and the car will look nicer then before.

To fix and repaint everything it would run around $3k plus the parts. Add a few hundred if you wanted a quarter skin instead of fixing it.

It is if you still owe money to the finance company. The car must be paid off. In that case, he just lost the equity. He might as well go out and buy another come May. I'm sure this is a valuable lesson learned for him.

I'll take your word for the rest of the stuff depending on what he gets.
Where are you getting these prices from? A quarter panel will only run you about $400 Pianting and prep and install will run you $300 that is where I got my $700 mark. To fix and repaint a door is going to cost you way more then that because from the looks of it they are going to have to refinish it which mean take the door off fix it and try and level it back on fixing the hendges and balance and prep and paint. $1100 like I said.

I'm a body man. That quarter is going to cost more to fix than the door and is most likely what's causing the door to look like it is.

Also I edited my post because pricing the the part isnt a good way to go about doing it when it comes to paint.

Really then how do you know if the hendges wont need replacing from looking at a few pics? The quarter panel is only being held on with 5 screws and some plastic popers, the door looks like it was pushed in and back so the from around the front roll bar looks like it could be bent towords the back. Fixing the passanger quarter is going to be easier then fixing this door. Of course this is only from seeing the pics I need to see the car physicly in order to give a better estimate.

i see:
rear bumper (possibly the absorber, rebar, rebar mounts), right rear quarter panel, right door skin, right side skirt, right front fender, right headlamp, front bumper (possibly absorber, rebar, rebar mounts), right and left side airbag, left and right curtain airbag, side airbag control module (must be replaced if side airbags are deployed), airbag sensor in the steering wheel (i'm pretty sure you have to replace that too), yor suspension components should be fine...maybe just needs an alignment. all i've listed are just parts....labour would cost a nice handful. if you want your car to look and drive like new again......you are going to be paying ALOT. i am very sure there is roughly 12-15k in damages.

This happened to me on my last car but I still owed on the car and got away with basic coverage some how. Then the crash! Ins. didn't cover it and the rest I owed either gets paid in full or goes on your credit. If you don't pay now you will in intrest on your next car(unless you have that much cash on hand then don't worry about it). BTW, NOW I pay $100/month full coverage including gap(pays the difference between worth/owe) with Geico. Atleast your OK but sorry to hear about the Z. This happened right when my son was born, could always be worse. If you don't owe, part it and go for the 2007!

That can certainly bite if you have an accident. As you mentioned, a small amount each month just in case is certainly worth it. I will second the GAP insurance. Sure is worth every penny.

It cost me $900.00 to have a small ding taken out of a door and painted so that the door color blended into the other areas. That was the best price I found at a good shop.

Are you kidding me? LOL

Yes, by all means go ahead and try to sue someone for your own double stupidity.

1. no comprehensive coverage
2. you drove a Z in THAT?
