Default I bet im not alone...

Ok if your car is a daily driver you know the horror of having to park at some forsaken place like walmart or some other type of parking lot horror, so you decide to park far away from everyone else and when you come out, yep sandwiched inbetween to large suv's or the like. They have gone out of their way to park next to your car.

When I lived in the Springs and went to Wal Mart, I always parked in the back by the oil change place. Always empty.

Print this out and next time leave this on their windshields.

when I get crowded in, especially in an empty parking lot, I do a full visual inspection of my vehicle (with keys in hand) before I get in my car. That way I can "scratchl" together a little note for the a-holes that just had to park next to me.

I wonder if this happens because people think like we do. When faced with no parking available, I try to park next to a nicer car because I know they respect their ride and won't ding mine. Perhaps in the Wally Martinez lots, the thought process is that they'd rather KNOW that their boat won't get scratched by parking next to us than risk it. I don't know, just reaching...

It happens because people are drawn to things that stick out without relizing it. It never enters their minds u parked there to avoid others.

Meh....I'm not so overly protective of my car that I go out of my way to park in a remote area. I do prefer to park next to higher end cars if I can simply because I figure that the owners don't want to scratch their vehicles either. But I have no problem parking my Z anywhere.

When I used to own a Shelby Cobra replica I was a bit more hesitate to park it near other cars mainly because of the expensive paint job it had and the body was fiberglass.

You set an example (by parking away from the entrance). Others will follow.

Nahh; that's funny...I call Carl's Jr. 'Carlitos'!! I think outside of the Southwest Carl's Jr. is Hardees(?).

As for parking the Z, I try to park at an end stall. I've never had the SUV sandwich situation...

The more effort you take to park in no-man's land, the more likely it is that some idiot will park right beside you. Never fails.

We have a lot of elitist types here, now don't we?

Get real people. You drive a Nissan, not some exotic breed.

Yes, I am a redneck. Yes, I go Wal-Martin'. No, other people don't bang my Z up any more than my pickup. Over two years and 53K miles, you can say I have been in quite a few parking lots, and more than one Wal-Mart and K-Mart. Three dings, and you have to look closely to see them. I have more damage from rock chips on the highway.
