Saves me the hassle from cops in SoCal.

 

Yeah I got one... but only because I bought my Z used, and it already was drilled onto the front bumper. If I ever get around to replacing my bumper tho, I'll just wait to get a "fix it" ticket, slap on a Zee or Stillen bracket, get it signed off, then remove it, rinse, repeat

 

dang. My 07 had a front plate before i even bought it...

 

It's a sin for any dealer to drill holes in the front fender for a lousy plate holder.

 

Yeah, I have a front lic plate................on my van.

 

None of my cars have even had the holes drilled to hold a bracket for a plate. Only once in my life has a cop commented on it, but he was a rookie and a young hot shot. I pass the same cop now (6 years later) every day and he has never mentioned it since.

Of course, he did find out that I taught his superiors on our SWAT team in weapon-retention and CQC techniques back in the day (also Ops in Special Environments), so maybe now he thinks I'm not a punk.

When he pulled me over the first time I taught physics and had a non-regulation haircut (before 9/11).

 

NO. I would never live in a state where i had to jack up my ride by putting a plate on the front.

I have my front plate......

Sitting in a drawer someplace, where it can rust in piece.

If I get more than 2 tickets for not having it, I will probably put it on perminent. So far I have never been stopped for it in the whole year I've had the car.

 

Has anyone with a magnetic black Z used this website, did you use a different black or get them custom painted?

 

I have mine on the passenger visor, got stopped once and he said "whats it doing on there???" and said its law for it in WA state (which its not) I didnt get a ticket though.

No problems for me as well. A cop actually started up a conversation with me once at a gas station about how he loves the z. I thought he was going to get me for no plate.

 

i drive with mine on.. not worth the 150$ everytime you get stopped... cops around here look for it too.. pretty weak..

Every car i drove from '02 and later did not have a front plate. I finally got busted a few weeks ago and put it back on. Sucks but i don't feel like being harassed.

 

TX plates in AK. which means my front plate is some where in my garage. lol.

 

Only bonus of a front number plate is, if someone decides to touch park, then at least it doesn't damage the actual car, just the plate, easy enough to replace cheaply.

 

I wouldn't have one on if it wasn't illegal here. Cops usually see the front plate off and stop you for more tickets on top of that.

 

I got pulled over twice and got warning for without front plate.
