350Z Total Production #s Update
Sometimes I think we Z-car drivers are too smug, talking about there are too many Z-cars on the road wishing that there were fewer. I do see more Z-cars on the road then Porsches or Lambo but really that two distinct different consumer group or driver. I venture to say that maybe, just maybe $27-$33k is a little easier to come up with then $50k - $200k, just maybe.
I see a lot of Z-cars and more of Mustangs not all GTs mostly V6s. In this statement I don't mind being compared with a Ford. Sports cars don't usually sell well unless a Toyota or Nissan or Porsche,Vette has a legacy. Ford sells plenty of Mustang so we could have bought a Stang and then oh my god, look how many we ARE.
I see a fair amount of Corvettes and more Boxsters then any other new style Porsche. When I see another Z-car driver all I can do is applaud their taste thinking damn do I look that cool in my Z! Usually I do every building with a Glass pane or mirror pane I check us out and damn I look good in that Z.
Unlike some sports cars like the slick magazine winning RX-8 productions numbers at one time were so slow they once feared extinction again. They think its a Good thing to be a rare breed maybe if it was a Lambo, Porsche or Ferrira but a Mazda I think not. Again I applaud the taste of Z-cars drivers around the world.

Just to give you an Idea of how much production has decreased; In May of 2003 Nissan sold 3,568 350Zs
This is NOT to say that the current production levels are faltering. I think most knew that there was no way the production levels of '03 and '04 would be sustainable. I think the current production levels are quite healthy.

I'm not positive, but I think the VIN might tell which number you were for that year.
Thanks for checking, thats interesting to know about the roadsters. I have only seen one in person except for when I pick up mine. There will be two verts and I think 2 or 3 coupes in town.
