Default So I'm at the Nissan/Infiniti dealership...

And there was one salesman there at the time. So we were talking, looking at both the Z and the G, and when I mentioned that I was a friend of a friend who bought through him, he said to me, "as a salesman, I'd say, get whatever car you want, but as a friend, I wouldn't touch the Z because it rattles." WTF?!?

He MUST be an infiniti representative instead of a Nissan one, right? Because I know that the Gs rattle just as much as the Zs do. He must not get as much commission or any from me getting a Z?

Salesman need to really start doing some research on the cars they sell. Its seems like all to often they say the dumbest things about cars. I went to a Dodge dealership with my friend and they were selling a used RSX. The guy said it was real wheel. And was saying that if you just put and intake on it, it will jump up to about 230HP. These people are morons sometimes...

He probably told you that because the G costs more. More expansive sale means more money in the pocket.

Well, I didn't buy it yet...i'm heading back there tonight to take both the Z and G for a spin.

The G and Z that I was looking were actually around the same price. So my guess is that he represents Infiniti and not Nissan.

I am leaning towards a Z though. I sat in both, and right away, I felt really small in the G. It was bigger than I expected. Maybe I'm just used to my Prelude. I dunno....the drive will give me a better indication tonight.

well, i keep my tires inflated to no more than 32PSI and rattle is not that noticeable..... also try tires with softer side walls.

OMG prelude?!

I'll be making the switch soon myself. I see a lot of people on the prelude forum jumping ship to the Z. I guess the styling is somewhat the same. Anyway, good luck finding one you like

I've 17K miles on my '06 and never had a rattle. Well at least not a mid to low pitch rattle. I'm hard of hearing high pitch things, like women's and children's voices. Maybe this is another reason to enjoy this handicap.

Dont really see any styling thats shared between the Z and a prelude. OP- test drive both and see which one feels best to u.

Yea, when I went and checked out the 07 Z, the salesman of four years didn't even know about the different motor or what kind of power it put out, which is on the window sticker. I thought I was going to sell him a car.

I don't think any car enthusiast will mistakenly identify a Prelude for a 350Z (or vice versa).
