Short Gal looking for speed
Alright, so I have wanted a z for some time now. I love the way it looks, the car is fast enough for me, and put simply, the z is an affordable sports car -- that is what I have always wanted.
However, I am a 17 yr old girl who is 5'3"... haha. Yesterday, while sitting in my friend's mustang, I realized that I could not see anything out of the rear window because of my height. This made me think.... will a 350z still be practical for someone of my height?
I know I should just go out and test drive to see for myself, but I just wanted to know if anyone here has first hand experience with concerning my issue.
Yeah.... anyone 5'3" here?

I have not taken a test drive yet. Will probably do so once the weather clears. But the horsepower is calling my name

I did an internet search for this very same question. I am 5" even and have sat on pillows for years. I am driving my 2nd Mazda Miata which I love. But I have to admit I have been slowly getting a twinkle in my eye for a convertible Z. The rear window my Miata is not the best so I am used to the limited visibility and of course using my mirrors. But the Miata's seat ratches up a bit. Do they have that in the Z or are you sitting low?

FWIW, I sold a 33 Vert to a friend who is 5'1" tall and she fits fine with no complaints. My wife is 5'3" and while she doesn't drive my coupe much now that we have another car she drives when I need the SUV, it fit her fine as well.
But no matter how you look at it, a Z doesn't have great visibility to begin with unless the top is down. Probably similar to your Miata.

Will give it a try
I used to have a WRX and that seat really ratched up well. It was the only reason I could drive it. I will give the Z a test drive to see. I like that idea I can consider a car with more power that still comes in a convertible. I live in San Francisco and really enjoy having a convertible for when our weather is nice. Do the Z's have a power top or is it manual?

Yep, when the weather cooperates, nothing like a top down venture across the GG to Pt Reyes, back across, through the Presidio and out to the Cliff House for sunset drinks. We did that not long ago!
Power top. Convenient; but when they break, they're not cheap to repair even doing it yourself. The one I sold had an issue shortly after I sold it to her (she refused to let me pay for the repair, even though I felt really bad). But don't let that detract from you getting an open air Z. Nothing like top down, generous right foot, and wind! (I have two 'verts...)

My wife is 5’3 and had no issues with her Z. Was even more room to move the seat up.
