GREAT ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ TIMES!
I haven't had my Z for about a year and half so something tells me that I'm going to be sleeping in mine for a day two as well. Then I'll be checking to make sure it's still in the garage and saying goodnight.

I got mine a few months ago. My dad and I took the day off from work. My dad talked to the dealer and said we would be there the next day 8am to pick the car up. We woke up at 2am to drive 6 hours away. As we were driving down to the dealership, it wasn't settling in that I was about to purchase my first car, a 350z. Until, we got to the dealership at 8am-830am. There she was all washed, waxed, and cleaned up sitting right in the middle of the parking lot waiting for me to drive it home!! Test drove it for about 15mins, handed him the check, signed the papers, and got the keys and drove 6 hours back home. When I got home, I still had time to get to the DMV an hour before it closed to get the license plates. Oh man was I tired! But well worth the trip!!!

First night - picked up the car at 3pm.

I drove her for 5-6 hours in the mountains. Sat in the car for a couple of more with the manual. Fell asleep for a couple hours in the car listening to the stereo. Then went to bed. Next day was a Saturday and the wife and I went for a days ride along the coast. Dinner and driving home at sunset. What a date! We still do once a month or so.

Nice first 24 hrs. !!!

I had mine delivered to my office, it arrived around 11ish. So i took my lunch at 12 and just drove around with a big grin on my face. My dad was out of town and he even called to see if i got it (he was that excited too). After work, I met up with some friends and i came in and put the keys on the table. Everyone took turns taking a ride in my new 350z. Too bad it was raining that night so i didn't get to drive it much.

i think i have everyone beat... i bought my z online a year and a half ago. in texas. not so weird right? well, i live in korea. stationed over here. it took about two months to get to me. i think i called every other day to ask if they had a gps reading on where the ship was... when i finally got the call, i got my *** to the port. we opened up the container and there she was. i saw the back end first. it is still the finest *** i have ever seen. (may my girl never see that comment...)

I stalled it pulling out of the dealers! Thought I was in 1st, actually was in 3rd, DOH! This was on a Thursday evening, on Friday morning I had to leave it behind to go on a fishing trip to Lake Erie. Came back on Sunday morning , wife had put 2 coats of wax on and Scotchguarded the carpets. Family did not see me until close to midnight

Man I'm kind of jealous of all you guys whose fathers were excited for the Z. My dad thinks spending a lot of money on anything is foolish and frowns upon my Z purchase accordingly. He never expresses any interest to go for a ride in it, and even when I put the keys down in front of him and told him to take it out for a while he wasn't interested. (I think he has a screw loose). Although one night last summer I was at my parents' house and we ordered food out and my car was at the end of the driveway, so he (reluctantly) got in the car with me to go pick up the food. I noticed a little half-*** grin on his face on a few occasions, but I don't think he knows that I saw it.

I got my first Red '04 Touring Z in Nov '04 because my ex had a Red G35C... Matching cars - oh so cute. I liked it, but I really got it cause of him. We broke up a long time ago... So -- Recently, I traded it (in Jan '07) for a new '06 GT Z. I'm totally jazzed now cause this one is for me!! :-)

My wife wanted a new car before I could get one, because she hasn't had a brand new car since we got married. I hadn't had a new car either, but I got my previous car less than a month before we met. So we got my wife a new SUV in the morning, then went to the Nissan dealership to get my 06 Z. Got out of the Nissan dealership at about 11 PM. We started driving home, and she called me on the cell along the way and wanted to drive my car the rest of the way home. Of course I obliged. Hey, she got her new car first (by hours), just like she wanted.

Bought mine June 7th of last year.. I was excited as hell, but also a little nervous. I was buying it used off of craigslist so I went with the owner to a AAA garage to get it checked out and then to a bank to exchange money and pink slip. I was a little skeptical about buying it from a guy from craigslist so as soon as I got the pink slip and gave hime the money for the car. On the drive back home with my new car (YaY!!!) I also kept expecting a wheel to come flying off or something. But almost a year later and things have been great! (as long as I ignore little things.. ; )

Wow great stories. I got a call from the dealer at 8PM telling me that they're accepting my terms, traded my 03 BMW 530i for an 04 350Z Touring in Jan 04 to lower car payments (just got separated). I wasn't really excited then. After a few mods, I get a smile every time I hear my BOV.

Once you buy your first 30K car, anything above that isn't that big anymore. I drove away in my 07 550i (stickered 68K+) and I don't hesitate parking it next to other cars (often).

I got mine at about 2:00 in the afternoon and didnt stop driving around till about 1 in the morning when i got home. Even then I contemplated sleeping in the car. Hell, the seats are comfortable enough to do it . I prayed i wouldnt wake up the next morning and it all be a dream, haha.
