Were you able to sleep that night? Cuz **** I wasn't , and even though I hardly slept ... I still woke up the next day early (8am) to drive it hehe

Well I got mine on November 3 at around 9 pm after a long day of looking at Black Z's. Dealer handed the keys to me... Jumped into the car took my mom home and drove around for 4 hours that night.. Then I woke up at 8 30 and drove around all day

God I love my car

 

Drove it home from the dealership @ 10pm. Went straight to my buddy's house to show off my new toy.

 

Throughout the night I checked to make sure that the 350Z was still parked in front of the house. Sitting outside it looked out of place like it didn't belong there.

 

lol I got mine on Nov 04 of 2004 only a day away but I don't know bout the year . My birthday was 10 days later Nov 14th =D

 

Same here..its weird like that..a part of me was like "whos car is in my drive way..oh yea lol"

 

I live in Vancouver, bought my Z in Calgary. Flew into Calgary to pick up my Z around noon. Had lunch and started driving back to Vancouver! It's about 1000km bewteen Calgary and Vancouver separated by the Rocky Mountains. It was one of the most amazing drives I've ever been on; a beautiful fall day and hardly anybody on the highways. It only took me 10 hours to make the drive, including stopping for lunch and pit stops. Google Earth said it should take me 14 hours. What an awesome way to spend a day with a new toy.

 

I slept just fine, I loved the way the z looked, but when I first stepped on it I was a bit disappointed in it's go...But I also stepped down from a c5 vette, so that explains a lot ZdayZ has made me appreciate the car more and more though, I feel that the Z has a better following and a group of people that are down to drive it like it's supposed to. There are some in the vette crowd that are like that, but it seemed like more of them were garage queens that didn't really drive em hard.

 

LOL, this brings back memories. I bought my Z on an impulse buy. Story goes.....

My other car blew up (overboost) and I had just finished a rebuild. Turned the car over and heard valves tapping the pistons. Called the fiance angry as all get out and told her I am getting another car. Popped in a movie, looked around on the internet for 30 minutes, saw "The Run" video, walked into the dealer an hour later, (still greasy from the rebuild) and said "I WANT THAT ONE" Sales person thought I had 3 heads coming in the way I did but I went in at 8PM left with the Z at 11...Been completely happy ever since.

 

First thing I did was go home and sleep after working all morning then sitting at the dealer for four hours the next day i used almost two full tanks of gas though

 

nah, i couldn't sleep either. i believe i stayed in the parking lot for fear of my car being stolen (didn't have a garage at that time).....so it was a mix of fear and excitement. lol

 

first time i ever drove the car i got pulled over. turns out the cop just wanted to talk to me about the car because "his wife wont let him get one." haha!

 

I got it november 3 2006

 

I bought mine and drove to work. 8 hours later I drove home and went to sleep. I guess I wasnt super excited b/c my roommate had one and I drove it a lot.

 

i got mine 10 days after my birthday...so i could never forget when i bought my car...it was kinda sad to let go my 05 s2k but the s2k sustained a lot of hail damage and insurance paid for the damage and i traded them in for the z...

 

Got mine on July 3, 06. I spent about 2hrs at the dealership, drove it over to my brother in-law's house to show off my new toy. I did not get home till 1am and had to wake up at 5am to go to work. I never felt so anxious to get up to go to work.

 

i found mine a week after an accident where iw as hit by a drunk in my spec-v. i had to wait one month for the money to come, got the money and a day later i was on a train to pick up my Z. drove it from newport(the oc) back to burbank(think leno) and then went to a car meet...after a wash and wax of course.

 

Today is my year anniversary with my baby. Last day of the month and i salesman at dealership, needed 2 more cars for a bonus so i bought it.. still even though im around em everyday it never gets old when i leave work and get in her how excited i still get.

 

i could sleep just fine, just another car that i really like.

 

I did that too. Still do, now and again, after only 4 months.
