Good one. It's always better when we can laugh it-off.

Your incident reminds me of the time I lifted my 5th wheel trailer and moved the Silverado forward to clear the trailer, but forgot to lower the tailgate.

Bang!! Tailgate smashed. Expensive repair...

My buddy did that to his Mazda 626 in college. We just bent the door back in with a crowbar and proceeded to try and pick up women. The door basically fell out of the car when you tried to open it and almost hit the ground. Needless to say, the only women we picked up were very drunk women.

I was thinking of doing that when I was trying to run wires to the door speakers.

Yeah, I can't believe it either, but based on the estimate, it looks like they're practically replacing the entire left-side of the car, including one of the rims. Also replacing the rear bumper cover, and the backup/ signal lights too.

No, I'm not a new driver. I've been driving for the last 9 years, and this is my first accident. I don't even wanna know what this is gonna do to my insurance premium...

Update: (not that anybody cares)

Got the car back, Friday. So I finally got rid of that 06 Stratus rental... not before running up almost $1K in rental bills... but, at least I got my car back.

The Z looks GREAT. The body shop did an amazing job making the car look new again. Only thing, is there's a scar on the bottom sill, in the corner, where the door hit it, when it folded, but I can live with that. 2 Thumbs up, to Ski's Auto World in Fayetteville, NC!

Now I gotta get the car serviced at Nissan, cause my TPMS malfunction light is on.

+1 on the butterfly mod. Congrats on getting your baby back. But if you would've left the door the way it was, everyone would be doing that trendy mod! Lol!

We all make stupid mistakes, I left my ebrake halfway on at the strip and broke my axel after I launched at 4k. Makes you feel pretty retarded though huh.

you could have saved all that hassle by just making the other side match.
