i dont think so...im pretty sure they make all the parts in japan, but then nissan puts all the parts on the boat and they assemble the car on the trip across the pacific....saves alot of downtime. so when you order one they just put it together right on the boat.

From my understanding the Fairlady Z (350Z) and the Fairlady Z Roadster (350Z Roadster) are built at the Oppama plant in Tochigi, Japan.

I'm pretty sure the Z and the Murano are the only Nissans made in Japan and then sold here.

Also, I know it doesn't necessarily mean the whole car was made in Japan, but if you look under the dashboard panels, the stickers on the frame have the place and date the part/car was assembled.

Check the VIN decoder at Courtesy Nissan. It will tell you where your 350Z was manufactured.

Thats right, they are 100% Japanese and are fully assembled when put on a boat to America. In fact they had to redesign the ship's ramps in the early days that load the cars, because the Z was scraping its bumper

The 2003, 2004 and some 2004.5 models were made in Oppama. After January 2004, production moved to Tochigi.

If you bought the car new, look for the spec sheet that post on the window. That piece of paper will tell you. For my car, which is an 04, it says "assembled in Japan."

Workers would have to be in the Maritime Union and the cars would then cost over $100,000.

If the VIN starts with a J its from Japan. The minivan i think is also made there with the murano and 350.

Just look at the VIN#, if it starts with J, it was made in Japan.
