Default Should i go for it

ive been driving my friends 04' redline off and on and i fell in love with the z like everyone does. I now have an opprotunity to purchase one and i wanted some opinions. It is a 2003 pikes peak white touring edition, with nav. and frost leather. It is already upgraded with an aam reflash, 20'' TSW wheels(too big) with toyo tires. this car has 39,850 miles and is going for about 23,000. The bad thing is that i heard the previous owner mistreated it, by drifting it, etc. what should i do.

Is the car worth $23,000 to you? If yes then go for it.

you can probely get a better deal on a 2004 Z with similar options but if its stock you can mod it your own style. W/O dubs of course! Good Luck.

I think you can find a better deal on autotrader. $23,000 sounds like a lot for an 03.

Two thoughts:

1) is the car in your signature your friends car?

2) $23K for an '03 with 40K miles on it is WAAAAYYYYYY high, especially for one with a history of abuse. I personally have seen '03 touring cars with more tasteful mods done to them go for sub-20K, and that was like 8 months ago.

Keep shopping.

Forget about this car. The Mods you describe don’t add any extra value (and probably reduce the value), and it sounds as though there might have been a degree of minor abuse.

The car is worth 18K. --Spike

A Z with history or abuse, can only lead to hassles. Just thinking of the drifting Z's I know and most of them have sustained some fairly serious damage quite a few times and I'm not just talking superficially. Happy shopping.

You want to buy a sports car new or from someone who does not drive it like one.

I believe the photo is hosted at StreetNeeds, and they "watermark" the photos at time of upload. It's not a manual add.

Keep looking; if car has been mistreated, there ain't no good price.
