I thought that was pretty funny, too, but I also thought you were just kidding. I believed that the gas flap wouldn't open if the ignition switch was ON or at least if the car was running. I went out in the garage and tried it: the gas flap opens at any time! I didn't launch into the workbench, though..

my only concern is hitting the switch unknowningly with my elbow. I hit the heated seat switch which only warms my buns... I could imagine hitting the vdc switch and getting into trouble b/c I think it's on when it isn't.

Maybe if I were to add the switch cover.

Looks great and much more accessible.

When VDC is turned off, you get a yellow annunciator on your tach that is hard to miss.

Any way of getting rid of that "VDC off" light? I find it pretty annoying.

I plan on doing this over the weekend, but before I do, what gauge wire does it use? I prefer to find out before I take it apart and have to run out again! Thanks

I couldn't find a four wire combo at Radio Shack besides telephone line so I just went with two sets of speaker wire. I don't think these will have to carry much current.

I used your instructions and repositioned the VDC when I did the wiring for my In-Car PC.

Thanks for the help, I really like the new spot for the VDC!

Here is a link to my post for the In-Car PC!
