LSD, How do I know what has it?
I am looking at 350z's, all years, and I am accustomed to a limited slip rear end. How do i know which ones would have it? I am only looking at 6 speeds... I have heard that the g35's all have it if you get a manual, is this true? is it the same for the 350z?
Lastly, does it actually matter that much on these??
New guy, thanks for the help.

If I remember correctly, only the Base Model Z doesn't get the LSD. All others, AT or MT should have a LSD.
Does it matter? Yes. Get a Z with the LSD. You have too much power to put down through just one wheel. By avoiding the Base, you also get cruise control.

1) Base-model is only model that has open-diff. If you're not sure on model, during test-drive, shift into second at high-rev. If no LSD, your back-end will fishtail (alternative: accelerate while making 90-degree turn. Car will feel like it's standing still).
2) You need a LSD, if you want to even be a little aggressive. See 1) above.
3) If possible, get a base, and then get an after-market Quaife LSD ($1400), which is superior to the VLSD that comes with the other models.

+1 simple easiest answer. Buttons on steering wheel =LSD

how loud is the Quaife LSD, i heard an aftermarket lsd is not worth the mod because its so annoying and not ideal for daily driving?

Look, in the case if theZ, this is not difficult. If its a base, it doesn't have LSD. All other trim levels do.
