Hmph. I've had my Z for about two weeks or so now and I'm consistently getting about 14-15mpg...I drive mixed city (70%) & freeway (30%) and since I'm still breaking-in my engine in I remain below 70mph. I use Chevron 91 and I always shift at 3.5-3.8k rpms and always use 6th gear in the freeway. Does my mileage start increasing after break-in or something?

60-65mph in 6th gets you the best mileage.

I averaged 26.1 for all of last summer in my 03 Touring

19 around town and 25-27ish on flat freeway driving at 75-80 mph.

Well I just took a 470 mile trip to Orlando in My 06. I got an avg of 26.2 Mpg at an Avg speed of 80 Mph.

Has anyone actually tested the accuracy of the digital MPG guage? My 02 Maxima had the same feature, and it was consistantly overstating by 2 miles per gallon.

I have done the Math on mine once. It worked out the same. Now lats time I made this trip it did not have any mods and I got an Avg of 22.5 Mpg @ 78 Mph.
I have added the Mrev 2 and 5/16 spacer with the K&N Series 63 filter an Nismo CatBack. Even my around town mileage has gone up.

From what Ive noticed 72 mph is the best speed for fuel economy.
