100K mile warrenty????
I was reading posts and for the second time today I saw people bought a 100K mile extended warrenty? I thought you can only get a 5 year or 60K mile warrenty?
I bought an extended Nissan Warranty for 84 months or 100K miles on my 05. I think they only sell them for 'certified' used vehicles. Covers everything the factory warranty does, no deductible and is transferable to a new owner for $50.

It costed me $1,000, but they also lowered my APR from 5.5% to 4.5%

I have Mercury, and they actually offered me same extended warranty
for less than dealership price..it's just that I was too lazy to change lol
If I were you I would give it a try.
In the past I've gotten ext warranties through my credit union. But with the Z I got it at the time of purchase. I think they wanted like $1400 for it but they were desperate to close the deal and we got it for only a few hundred. When negotiating it helps to have a wife with you who does NOT want you to get the car. Wife ftmfw.
And I believe you can purchase the extended 100k warranty at any time. However, if the original 3-year/36k-mile has expired then you'll have to jump through some hoops I believe. I think you need to prove you've had scheduled maintence and what-not before they'll let you get the extended. Something like that anyway.
There is a friendly vendor here (somewhere) that can answer any questions.
Oh, the 5-year/60k warranty is just the standard powertrain warranty IIRC.
