I had my Z for less than a month before someone stole the two front wheels. I now have new locks and a viper alarm. Has this happened to anyone else here?
Hasn't happened to me...although I don't understand why wheel locks came standard with my previous car Mazda6, yet they don't come with my 2006 Z. Hooray for cost cutting!
This type of activity occurs regularly in the apartment complex I live in. The police say they are going to "try" and patrol the complex and never do. I plan on moving out when the lease is up.
Well, hope those cops can actually find something out about who did it. And a lot of ppl seem to get the Viper alarms.. are they that good? Im sold if it can talk.. "STEP AWAY FROM THE VEHICLE YOU F*** OR I WILL RUN YOU OVER!"
yeah...
Ah..I grew up in Dr. phillips area. But I used to live off Econ. my roomates civic was broken into twice there. Sorry to hear abot the trouble. It's gotta suck to walk out to your car, missing it's front wheels
sorry sis, i already posted this awhile back when they were originally stolen. got no good leads from it. welcome to the site. becarefull, there are a lot of around here.

Take your police report to the leasing office, and tell them you want to break you lease. They should do it at no pentalty to you. Had the same thing happen with my TT a few years back, and they let me break mine. Cause now you are always gonna be checking on it, and that's no way to live. Just my 2 cents

Happened to my girlfriend a few months back also. She was parked in a "locked" parking garage, next to a Corvette and a Boxster. The thieves decided to steal her stock Civic wheels and they left her car up on an old steel rim and a paint can.
Winter Park but the not so good part of Winter Park near UCF
I've been living in one of the sub-divisions around UCF for the last 8 years and never had or heard of a similar problem. Plus, to get from Winter Park to UCF I would say you have to drive a good 15-20 minutes (depending on traffic and all those red lights). We have UCF police + Orange Co. police driving around day and night.
