what should i do...need advice
need advice...leaving for training soon. my car is going to be dormant for about 2 months. i'm just going to get a car cover to protect it from weather. my questions are:
a) is it okay to let it sit for that long, or should i have my buddy roll it once a week?
b) i use synthetic, i've probably got about 3k more miles until i need an oil change. but since it sitting dormant should i change the oil when i get back?
c) aside from the nissan oem cover, what brand(s) is recommended to protect the Z?
thanks guys.

Just let it sit two months isn't going ot hurt anything. If your buddy has a garage, that would be even better.
If you don't have a garage just use any cover that's water-resistant and will fit over your entire car. Easy as that.

Google: "Tips for vehicle storage" to find more information. You'll find a difference of opinion on some issues but many of the basics include:
*Cover and store the vehicle inside, out of sunlight and at an even temperature in a low moisture environment. If you have to store the car outside, there are additional concerns you'll find in the search.
*Support the vehicle to take weight off the tires but also support the suspension so it is not fully extended.
*Remove the battery.
*Change the oil before storing.
*Use a gas stabilizer for long term storage
There are more items you may want to consider, but these are among the basics to cover for a two month storage.

A ton of guys leave their Zs parked during bad weather which often lasts for months in the north. It's no big deal if you have a garage or in your case, access to one.

I just took my Z out after being stored since the end of November. I put it on jack stands, and had a good cover for it. I started it once every 2 weeks and let it run until it got up to temperature.
