I think to understand the floor-mounted high beam switch you have to own one (ir owned one in the past) .

Most people I know who have never owned a car with a floor switch just shrug and say "I don't get it" or "Who cares?".

But people who have owned a car with the floor switch in the past still wish they had that option.

If you are just cruising along at night, you got your arm out the window, wrist at a perfect angle, nearing a zen state then the foot switch means you don't have to disturb you zen-groove. It is for mellow driving mostly.
