My 2 cents:

I went with the Enthusiast over the Touring because the price difference did not justify:

1. VDC - just drive more carefully in bad weather
2. Bose - i knew i would go with a custom setup anyway, and i did.
3. Leather - I like the 'look' of leather but i don't like how it feels when you sit and drive around in it, too slippery for my skinny ***.
4. 18" factory wheels - i knew i would go with aftermarket, and i did.

FYI- Trophy Nissan in Mesquite Texas has a PPW 07 Enthusiast for 33K. I think it is auto though unfortunately. Last I saw they had a SMB Enthusiast 6spd with side airbags though. Check their site when you have a chance. Hope this helps.

Enthusiast FTW, sounds like your into performance so go with the enthusiast, Don't let Nissan choose your creature comforts. Upgrade the stereo, leather seats etc to your liking.

In Cali, Enthusiast is fine with TCS.

*ahem* A touring owner already answered with "It should come down to personal preference."

I don't know the diff in the trac stuff but I have the VDC or whatever it is and I love it. It keeps you in control and really helps save your tires.

I have an enthusiast. The seats dont bother me to much, but I would like the BOSE sound system. I would say wait for a touring model, and you will be satisfied with your decision.

VDC is good if you suck at driving and don't know yours and the cars limits, or you just like to drive like a drunk a-hole.

I know personally i didnt feel a $30,000 sports car should have anything less than leather seats and seat heaters. Those are just really standard options these days.

I love the VDC because it can really tune down your driving. I know my limits and my cars limits but without the VDC I would be using those limits everytime I got behind the wheel. For those of us that like to keep tires and save a little gas it is a miracle worker.
