Need some help and input on an 06
Ok guys so I have an opportunity to pick up an 06 PPW left over at a great price, I currently have an 03 with 60k. I am going from a Touring to a Base model. My current car is an AT but the new one is 6MT. My payments will go up $20 but my questions are do the 06 Base models have HID's and are there any major improvements that will help me forget about the leather, heated seats, TCS, and 6 disc changer. I know I will enjoy the 6 speed but I am giving up some features. HELP me make a decision quick!!!!! Here is my current car, they are letting me keep the wheels, will these wheels look ok on white??

Thanks,
Jason

Thanks,
Jason

I could be wrong, but I think the '06 base has the regular HID xenon and the '06 E, T, GT have the bi-xenon.
Word of advice: If your '06 is new, be sure to watch the oil levels until after it's broken in. Stay below 4k rpms for the first 1200 miles is what nissan recommends. Some ppl will also state to do WOT ealier in the breakin process to help the rings seat better. I did do that a little, but kept it under 4k rpm for 1200 miles. Also - Some ppl with the '05/ '06 revup motors used a lot of oil during breakin, then if the oil level dropped below critical before they had a chance to check it, their engine was messed up after that.
The dipstick on the '03-'06 is total TARD. The best way to check the oil is to let the car sit over night (this gives the oil time to finish dripping back into the pan, then check the oil (cold) before you start the engine. Always check the oil with the car parked in the same place for consistency sake.
Mine used about 1/4-1/3qt per 1000 miles during breakin, now at 17xx miles on the odometer, it isn't using any that I can measure. I hope it continues not to be an oil guzzler, but who knows? <knocks on wood>
Do your first oil change at 100 miles to get rid of the breakin metal flakes floating around in the oil. Plus if your car has been sitting on the lot for awhile, dino oil still continues to break down even if it's not being used, once hydro-carbons are intoduced to it. Better to change it ASAP.
Then do your next oil change at 500 miles, then again at 1500 miles, then every 3000-3500 miles after that. That's basically what I did.
