I sell MINI's and own a 350z, the evil eyes I get when clients find that out are deadly..Just ordered a 07 MINI Cooper that should be here next month, I keep yall posted as to the comparison of the two as daily drivers..

 

I was hoping that they would be more feisty but they are actually civilized over there.

Whats up guys... A fellow member of NAM here to just drop a few words. How many guys out ther would like to put on a MINI cooper vs 350z event? Cars must be street legal. How about we go the strip. If these cars are such girlie cars then what are you afraid of? Name a place and we can go at it that is if you aren't afraid of a turbo coverted MINI with a suprise in the boot....

Nope this isn't a factory support drag car. This is my daily driver. Does 1.2 G's on the skid pad. Full interior also.

 

Oh great, it looks like the Mini Coopers are going to become the new RSX of the forum. 350Z vs Mini Cooper?? In what category? Gas mileage?? Seriously, different cars, different class... Go play with Civics or GTIs. Oh and that doesn't mean that your cars can't "hang" with more expensive or higher class cars... I know broken down rusted Civic hatchbacks that will eat Lambos for breakfast lunch and dinner. ...I'd still take the Lambo. Different class is just different class.

 

Yes but thats not what has relied me up. You guys are calling a MINI a toy. Well if its a toy what are you guys afraid of? What do you say a 1/4 mile and autocross competition. Or if someone can rake out the cash to rent a road coarse... Lets go at it.

I would think that someone down in that area would take you up on that, be patient. Perhaps a post in the regional forum, South East.

 

And I am not being an "e thug" you have called out the MINI community. I am not just going to sit back let you rip on out cars. In out community we do no such thing.

Why doesnt someone in North Carolina take him up on his offer. I've seen and ridden in some minis that haul a$$, and would gladly drive. In fact my car choice was between A mini 330xi 350z or another jeep. I ended up with the z, for the performance and the look of them. The mini is defiantly a force to be reconned with.

In short mini= the shize 350= the shize.
Making a competition out of this sounds like an awesome plan.

 

Hey, most of us in the MAXI community don't rip on the MINI Community's cars. I think they are cute.

 

I would love to find a Z in NC that would like to compete. The only descent race I have had lately is an R6 (on pump gas).

 

I would love to see this. 2 cars that I own/owned going head to head would be really cool

It sounded like you guys were talking trash against the Z people. I was searching for your forum to see how much crap you guys were talking but it turns out that your community is actually pretty cool. I guess it was just a zealous mini owner who posted that at cars.com.

We haven't called out the mini comminity and nobody is really dissing the cooper.

Read through this thread. YOu'll see that we don't have anything against you guys.
