I encounter this all too often. I mean yes I know our cars are like freakin' exotics but why the hell do people need to stare at them for so long? They aren't that rare.

Yup, I always have people stop to look as they're walking by, circle around the car, or even stand next to it and take pictures. It can be good or bad, so sometimes I'm like a hawk.

I was at Buffalo Wild Wings one time and these lil kids were running around (mischievous). They were crowding around my car, but not quite sure what they were doing running back and forth so I tripped the alarm just to scare them off. They walked in acting like nothing happened.

Another incident was when a couple of guys stood next to my front left rim with one guy squatted. I didn't find out till later my Volk valve stem was loose, but didn't leak air unless I bumped into it.

Happens to me all the time. I work at a restaurant and park my
car right by the entrance in the front.
There's always someone checking it out everyday I work.

there was this one time when my friend drove me to my car after class cuz i parked far away for my first class, and she drove me to the top of the parking structure and we chilled for a couple minutes talking, and then i see this japanese couple come up the stairs and they go straight to my car and the guy was talking in japanese to his girlfriend and then he started touching my exhaust, like hella touching it and then puts his hands all over my window and i pushed on my friends steering wheel to honk the horn and the guy got scared and i screamed out "WTF ARE YOU DOING, STOP TOUCHING MY CAR" and he grabbed his gf's hand and they ran to his camry and drove off hella fast ...

wtf was that -__-

i went to eat at sticky fingers with a couple of friends and parked it where i could keep an eye out on it (especially after reading all these vandalized Z threads)...well this kid and his family walks out of the restaurant and it looks like from his expression that he wants a Z....so the whole family takes a look at the exterior and interior of the car for a while. Yesterday i went to dollar tree and i walk out and this older guy is taking pictures of my car.

The 1st couple of yrs I owned the Z back in 03 the attention was annoying. Even now at the Nissan dealership where I get it serviced, customers ask about it.

tends to happen the most when i go to the gas station. Here in KC there aren't really a lot of Z's around so they still turn heads all the time, especially my IF Z

yeaa i get alot of people admiring the z at parking lots, and sometimes in my driveway, i get serious when they're standing in the driveway though...

To me though, it's really cool when young kids admire the Z, makes me remember when I was their age being fascinated by the 300zx's and other cars that just stuck out to me. Makes me think that kid might be buying my Z in a few years with the correct intent!

My neighbor had a tt 300zx, and whenever he pulled it out of the driveway, I knew he was gonna bag some chick that night hahah.

Question Exotics?

Exotics? Are you kidding me? I rarely notice people staring at my car when it is parked, and to be honest I am glad. I don't want my car to get attention while I am away from it. I have no idea why some people are saying their cars are like exotics... the Z is far from that, and while I am just like the rest of you in being protective of my car, I am not going to go around with the mentality that it's some kind of exotic. It's common to see so many better cars around where I live and I just don't see the point of worrying so much.

All the time too!! Makes me move my car, because I am afraid it might get vandalized! I guess it comes with the territory.
