Unhappy Very Very Sad

Don't want to sound like a hater, but I've noticed that people with Z's have better taste in mods than those with G35C's. I don't think I'm biased on this becasue I contemplated for a long time weather to go with a Z or the G. I decided to order the Z becasue to get a 6spd manual on the G, you have to pay well over $32,000, where as you can get an Enthusaist model Z for about $29,000; but thats besides the point. Going through the G35C forum, I noticed that their taste in wheels is very.....well.....tackcy. Yes, the G is a little bit more luxurious, but that doesn't mean you have to go with some 20" SUV type wheels. And it seemed like a lot of the G35C owners liked that look. Not to say that there are some Z owners out there who don't know what the hell they are doing. Sorry to be such a downer, but I'm just really sick of people ruining beautiful automobiles by going with cheap products.

well you have to realize that different people have different tastes, and that is what keeps me going on with cars. I go to Auto Shows and always expect to see something new, and actually do. I get whatever suits me best whether people like it or don't. Opinion will always be opinion, but as long as people are happy with the wheels or mods, body kits, etc. i don't think they should feel bad about what they have, after all that is what i like to have..somethin out of the ordinary and not something that many people have.

I totally hear ya. And I'm all for individuality. But if you saw this post about some dude wanting to put "spinner" wheels on his G35C(you know those wheels you see on SUV's with spinning faces) wouldn't that just be wrong.

GIOVANNA WHEELS

Those are very nice wheels Vic, but I was referring to wheels like Lexani's and MHT's, you know stuff thats supposed to go on trucks.

well as the break down came where those looking for pure performance went with the Z. those not too worried about performance but rather a good looking sporty car with 4 seats have the G.

that means us with the Z are mainly looking for performance, which 20's are not for. while those with the G arent quite as concerned with that, most of them will never see a track.

but of course their are those on both sides with the other intentions. I bet if there was a 20" rim that increased performance, it would get used, but there isnt, lightweight 20's are basicly unheard of.

As a G coupe owner, i do find it appauling when I see some of those nasty wheels being put on. I think those OEM 18's are the best wheels I have seen on that car. But there are plenty of Z's out there with GT wings and mirror tints. So taste goes both ways.

I must reply to this one with my 2 cents because I am getting 20s for my G35c...

First, I think the reason why more mods are done to the z is because currently there is alot more aftermarket support than the G.

As far as wheels are concerned, I rarely see an aftermarket wheel that is smaller than 20 inches and looks well proportioned on the G35c. Most just look too small. 20s look perfect on the coupes body lines.

In my opinion, I don't think a wheel that is 20 inches qualifies it as tacky or tasteless when on a G35c instead of an SUV.

VQracer gave a great example of tastfull wheels on the g35C and they look like 20s to me.

I have seen my share of "tacky" wheels on both the Z and G.
